Tehran Rooftops

From an early age, the city has been a place for contemplation and a quest for signs of modernity. Tehran, as the capital, was a city that had experienced modernity in its appearance; it had tall buildings and high-rise passages. The repetitive designs of these structures were visible throughout the city. However, what caught my eye after moving to Tehran were its rooftops. Focusing on the rooftops, it seemed as though all the beauty and the facade designs of the buildings disappeared, revealing the true face of the capital. It was as if I was no longer looking at a residential city that serves as a refuge for several million people, but rather, I was caught in the suffocation of an industrial city filled with various factories.
